DICK ROBERTS YOUTH SAILING PROGRAM, INC.

Richard H. Roberts was a central figure in racing activities at Thames Yacht Club for nearly 40 years, much of which was in support of Junior Sailing.  With his passing on October 25, 2002, Dick's family established the DICK ROBERTS YOUTH FLEET FUND.

• To interest and encourage young persons in sailing and encourage them to develop sailing skills.
• To encourage young persons in progressing to, and providing them with the opportunity of, sailing on larger sailboats.
• To encourage young persons to develop self-confidence and recognition of the significance of safety and racing rules.
• To cooperate with other community groups and yacht clubs to provide sailing instruction to young persons.
